Charity Technology Trust (December 2008)
VPF made an investment using a revenue participation structure in Charity Technology Trust (CTT). CTT is a social enterprise with a mission to demonstrate how the effective use of technology can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of charities and voluntary organisations. With an annual revenue of just under £1 million, it creates an impact of £25 million a year to the Third Sector through technology savings and increased fundraising efficiencies.
Training for Life (December 2008)
VPF made an investment using an innovative convertible loan structure in Training for Life to help them to fund their expansion. Training for Life is in VPF’s existing portfolio.
Riders for Health (2007 Partner)
UK-based charity with international operations dedicated to saving lives through mobilizing health workers in Africa (Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Lesotho, South Africa, Nigeria, The Gambia, Ghana, Uganda). A health worker on a motorcycle makes 12-15 times the number of visits as one on foot. It helps millions of people across Africa to have access to basic healthcare. Started 15 years ago, founders Andrea and Barry Coleman were named E&Y Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2007. VPF has provided significant help with senior management team mentoring as well as strategic planning support.
