    DUE DILIGENCE 2014 - FINAL RESULTS!

    Part 1 - RESULTS
    Who got selected?

    Part 2 - PROCESS
    So how did we go about it?

    We would like to think that our due diligence this year was uber successful – why not have a read and gage for yourself.

    PART 1 – RESULTS

    Grant awards and pro bono support went to the following new organisations:

    Brighter Future Workshop
    ClientEarth
    Findacure

    This year we also decided to explore the idea of providing pro bono to organisations who just missed out on grant awards but impressed the board. Pro bono support was awarded to:

    Food Cycle
    Hospices of Hope Romania

    So, who are these change-makers?

    1. Brighter Future Workshop

    Peter Cousins MBE, Founder and CEO;
    Jackie Tittle, Founder and General Manager

    2. ClientEarth
    James Thornton, Founder and CEO

    3. Findacure

    Dr Nicholas Sireau, Founder and Chairman

    4. FoodCycle
    Mary McGrath, CEO
    Kieran Daly, COO

    5. Hospices of Hope Romania

    Graham Perolls, Founder and Executive Director

    PART 2 – PROCESS

    The 5-month due diligence started in March 2014. Preparation for the process took quite some time but the following gives some headline numbers:

    35 Volunteers from;
    30 Organisations;
    20 charities in the Phase-1 shortlist;
    8 Phase-2 shortlisted;
    5 for the Final Presentation shortlist resulting in;
    3 Final Presentation outcome – Grant, pro bono and;
    2 Final Presentation outcome – Pro bono

    We would like to thank everyone that participated in due diligence. This would not be possible without the support of our dedicated volunteers. In particular, we would like to make special mention of the following volunteers:

    Andrew Chamberlain for a stellar job at co-ordinating the Oliver Wyman Team;
    Aileen Hayes
    Tamsin Meakin
    Brian Lavery
    Joshua Marks

    Kieran D’Silva (Darwin Strategic)
    Simon Acland  (Independent Venture Capital & Private Equity Professional and Author)
    Gursharan Randhawa (Imperial Innovations)
    Kim Croucher (Barclays)

    If you are keen to contribute probono support or would like to have a conversation to discuss becoming a contact point for one of our portfolio - please get in touch with either Dave or myself via email.
